Planet Novak Announces "Rewind": A New Retro Arcade Experience Coming to Spotsylvania Towne Centre This Summer

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA – May 8, 2026 – Planet Novak, the area's premier modern claw and redemption arcade, is turning back the clock with the announcement of its newest expansion: Planet Novak Rewind. Opening in the early Summer of 2026, the new attraction will be located directly next door to the current Planet Novak storefront inside the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.

Locally owned by Nathan Hise and Clint Novak, the new expansion will feature 24 brand-new retro arcade cabinets, offering a blast from the past for adults and a new way to play for the next generation. While the cabinets boast updated screens and highly reliable modern hardware, the gameplay remains exactly as fans remember from the golden age of arcades in the 80s and 90s. Guests can expect to find legendary titles lining the walls, including Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

"We are creating the exact retro arcade feel that you used to have when going to the mall growing up," said Clint Novak. "We want everything in the room to trigger some kind of memory. We really feel this new space will perfectly complement our current claw and redemption offerings next door."

To ensure the new space remains accessible to all types of players, Planet Novak Rewind will skip the traditional admission fee at the door, allowing mall-goers to flow freely between the modern claw arcade and the retro game room. Players will have multiple ways to experience the nostalgic lineup, including pay-as-you-go options, unlimited passes, and a membership pass. Full details on pricing packages will be announced soon.
